how long to hatch?

i can hear peeping inside the egg!

but there is no hole in the egg how long until it pips the egg? then how long until it hatches?

Internal to external pip 1-24 hours
External pip to hatch 6-48 hours

There is no set time things have to happen, something things take longer and less. Those are just averages I've observed. Just have to be patient and let nature do it's work.

It took my mom 22 hours of labor to birth me, while her sisters have popped out kids in less then 3. Every egg is different and so there is variability.

I will tell you what just happened to me. I had 15 eggs in the bator, on day 19 had two healthy chicks pop out with 4-6 hours of external pip. I also had one pip through the shell in the middle and it seemed not to progress after about 20 hours so I started helpling it, during this time three others pipped externally and were also progressing slow. I started helping the first one out and every hour I'd take a little more off until I was sure it would make it, it did, however, because of me opening the bator so much the other three that had pipped got stuck in there shells, their membranes dried out and I ended up helping them. I had 10 eggs pip, 7 healthy chicks 1 died, one has a bum leg, and one spraddle leg had to be euthanized.

Try not to help if you can but if you must, keep your humidity up close to 70% and give the others time to progress before helping. Good luck!

That's the drawback in helping, once you pip that shell, the insides start to dry out. Then you have to help more.
