How long to hatch?

Hello, I am just wondering how long it takes for a chick to hatch? I have 7 little chicks already running around. The momma is sitting on the last two eggs to be hatched. One is hatching, I noticed a hole in the shell this morning around 11am and it is now 11pm and the chick is still not out. The hole is bigger. I feel like this is a silly question, but will the hen help it? Should I help it after a certian point? I have read about people doing this. Ok thanks!

They can take 24 or more form the initial pip til they hatch.. Sometimes longer.
Helping chicks is a tricky business- as you have to make sure that all the blood and yolk is absorbed. Breaking the membrane before the chick is ready to catch can cause bleeding. Hope that little one has managed to hatch on its own during the night.

Sorry it took me so long to get back. Yes the little chick hatched fine, the next morning it was out under the mamma keeping warm. Thank you for your help!
