Hi all. I have a quick question. I got my first 5 ducks a week ago. They are 3 months old. I have them behind an electric fence with a tractor that they have been going it at night. My question is, how long do I have to keep them in confinement before I can let them free range and still have them go back to the tractor at night? Thank you in advance!

You can let them out now if you want! They will be fine and they will come back to the coop at night, good luck!

You may have to herd them back to the tractor. Walk slowly behind them with your arms as guides. They learn routine pretty quick plus only feed them where you want to be in the evening. Also a handful of meal worms given once at the tractor will give then incentive to come when called. Place them in a container you can put a lid on and start training them to come to your whistle and the sound of the container being shaken. Mine come running when I whistle and shake the can.
