How long should I leave out hard-boiled eggs given as a treat? Should I follow human food-safety guidelines?

I put out little dishes of chopped hard-boiled egg in the brooder. The chicks seemed to like the treat, but didn't finish the egg. Should I take out the dishes and dispose of the leftover egg after an hour or so?

No need to throw it away, just refrigerate and give it to them tomorrow, after that's gone, don't give any treats until they're older.
