How long to leave the fake Eggs in the nesting box?

My hens are starting to lay, how long to you keep the Fake Eggs in the Boxes?
I have two nesting boxes, each of which has a fake egg in it. Once the Birds started to lay I took the fake egg out of the Box they were using and they switched to laying in the box with the fake egg.
Clearly these new laying Hens like the boxes with fake eggs- how long should they need this encouragement?

There's no harm in leaving the fake eggs in there at all..........shoot, leave 'em there if it promotes them laying!!
