How long to leave unhatched in bator?

Could someone please tell me when I should take the unhatched eggs out of the bator. I have one with a beak sticking out that hasn't moved since yesterday afternoon. I have two that don't seem like they are going to hatch. I am thinking that maybe it would be best to leave them in until like day 23. Would this be ok? Today is day 22. I had a 62% hatch rate my first time ever having a bator. I wish it would have been 100% though.

Thanks

You can wait until day 25 if you think there is a chance they will hatch.

The one that is pipped does it make any noise? Did it die in the shell?

If it is alive you might want to wrap it in warm wet paper towels and slowly chip away some shell and see if it needs help to get out. If you see the membranes start to bleed at all stop and wrap it up and put it back in the bator.

The chick that pipped is dead. I don't know what happened. I know he had pipped in the right end. His pip hole was kinda down bottom though. Our chick with the leg problem may have bumped him when he was moving around though. I noticed that the pip hole was actually on the floor of the bator. I had no idea what I should have done in that situation. After hours of him sitting face down and no noise from that egg I reached my hand in and turned him so the hole was up more. I think it was too late. There was still no noise and his beak looked really dried out. He never made any noise at all as far as I could hear.
I hope I didn't contribute to his death.

As far as the other eggs are concerned I am hoping they hatch. One of the eggs has somewhat of a funny look to it. It almost has a shade of black or dark gray to some parts of the shell. It looks like it is on the inside though. I will hold off and see if they hatch for a few more days.

It is sad and dissapointing but it is also the reality of hatching eggs. Many times you will get a pip and then the chick will die in the shell. The reasons are beyond what we can determine.

I'm on day 21 and none have pipped and when I candled last I did not see any movement.

I'm so bummed...I really think this whole batch is a dud!

Well one of mine that piped during the night never made it out of the shell. Just checked and it died. Do you think it just could not break enough shell off to get air?? The shell was cracked but never broken off any pieces.
