I needed some layers so a friend who owns an organic egg farm gave me some of his red sex links pullets POL. They look okay, the combs are a little pale, their weight seems right, clear eyes, no cough, no running nose/discharge, poop looks ok. How long should I quarantine? I was thinking 2 weeks, but I want to be safe, I have a nice flock of breeder BCMs and I don't want to make a HUGE mistake.

I personally (because of where I live) would consider doing an Ivermectin wormer/licer/miter now so that any of those problems are taken care of so you don't have to toss eggs later if your find they do have something.

You won't be sorry, and you can take time to handle each bird individually and check them over closely for other things as well.

Nothing beats a healthy happy flock!

    Merry Christmas!
