I have 2 different sets of muscovy eggs in the bator. One was set on the 7th and the other on the 10th. This would make them at days 9 and 6 respectively. So how long do I wait to see veining in them? I did notice some in one of the eggs, though I'm not sure which set it was.

My first set of eggs is on day 10 today, and tonight I can see veining in 5 of 9 eggs! I don't know how I didn't notice it before, since it is pretty obvious!
the other set is on day 8, and I can just barely see veins starting in some of them. I wonder if it's because the shells are kind of 'creamy' looking? My ducks eggs are all white, and pretty clear, like porcelain, so they are easy to see into.

If you're experienced & have a good eye you can tell by about day 4-5. ..oh, and a good light & a good, dark room. It's a combination of technique, environment, skill, & of course the egg!
