How long to set shipped eggs before putting under broody?

I've ordered my first eggs, they should be here tomorrow or the next day and now I can't find the thread on how long and at what temp I should set the eggs before giving them to one of my "leggless wonders"?
Any help will be appreciated.

When the shipped eggs arrive, inspect them to make sure none are broken and then allow them to sit still on your desk the remainder of the day.
This will give them a little time to settle from all the jostling of the postal handlers.
Place them under your broody that evening.
