Hi everyone,
We just switched out a male in one of our breeding pens, and I couldn't remember ---- how long should we throw out the eggs (that may have been fertilized by the previous male)?
I have heard to wait a week, but thought I should ask on the forum in case there was another suggestion.

Thanks!

The general census is to wait 3 weeks. If you're going to hatch the eggs yourself you could always use them after a week and see what you get though.

They're right. It SHOULD be safe to say the new roo is the father to all after 4 weeks, but there still could be a throw off from the original roo, but Very unlikely.

Wow, much longer than I thought, so I am glad I asked. Gadzooks! I didn't know varility (sp?) was so strong!!!
