I have 3 butler bobwhite quail chicks in with one chicken chick, how long should they stay under heat? When are they coop ready? They are all the same age, 2 weeks old.

For the quail I'd say they'd be ready to go outside at a month old as long as your nighttime temperatures aren't too low and you could wean them off the heat by 3 weeks old if they are indoors, but chickens need to be 6 weeks old before going outside permanently. They need to be fully feathered and able to maintain body heat. If chickens are brooded indoors you can wean them off heat by a month old, but they still need the additional 2 weeks inside to ensure they are well feathered enough to cope with cooler temperatures outside.
