How long until a Broody hen starts laying again?

I just got two hens from a family member. They both just hatched some eggs about two weeks ago. How long until they start laying again?

It varies. I had one broody who dumped the babies at three weeks old and two days later, she was laying again. Seems they mostly begin laying at 3-5 weeks after the babies hatch, but could be longer.
