How long until chicks stop following mother hen?

Watching the little ones following their mama as usual, but then all of a sudden, getting pecked by her as if saying...” Enough! I’m done!” The chicks AND I were just not ready to let go! I think it was easier for THEM than it was for me!

Awwww. I'm happier than expected as I was told my rooster would be nasty. Again 3 weeks with everyone together and it's a little mini family I have never thought would happen. Fingers crossed my happy family bubbles lasts 10 years plus!
