My Buff Orpington pullet decided to go broody two days ago.
She sat on her nest of 3 eggs for about 38 hours, and I was planning on giving her some more eggs today.
However, yesterday afternoon, she got off the nest about 5pm and ran outside to play!
She roosted last night with the others instead of sitting on her nest.
This morning, I went to check on everyone and she was back on the eggs again!
I think she can't make up her mind! She is only 7 months old and has only been laying for two months. Is she just practising?
It is Winter here and very cold at night - down to 0.
Are the eggs still viable or should I just take them from her?
Thanks, Krista
