how long until hatcheries are sold out

i want to get the silver laced cochin and some other breeds from ideal but all of them are sold out until april. once they are back in stock how long do you think it will last before they are totally sold out because im not sure i can finish the coop in time and i so dont want to wait to next year to get the chicks

Would you be able to keep your chicks inside - like heated garage or basement or utility room? If you can put them even in a garden shed where they can stay warm until they get all their feathers, that might work too. Takes up to 8 weeks for them to get all their feathers so you could order in April even and and after you get them, you'd still have a month or two to get your coop done.
