I want to add that my duck sat on her eggs for 8 days before she stopped laying an egg everyday
Although she sat on them she wasn’t heating them up if that makes sense
So although you think they were week 4 my guess is she continued to lay eggs to finish her cycle and then started the incubation on them making them 3 weeks. My pekin duck sat for over 5 weeks her baby hatched at day 29-30 only one made it as her eggs were small and babies were in wrong position so lost them at hatch time
She was my only female at the time so it was easy for me to know who was adding the eggs each day
