Im on day 27 of my duck incubating process. This morning when I candled one of my eggs i noticed that it looked like it had internally piped but there was no noise coming from the egg. Now its been several hours since I first candled it this morning and I can hear really quiet chirping and tapping. I was wondering if there is anyway to determine when the duckling should make an external pip? Maybe tomorrow morning? Thanks!

I don't know about ducks, but if I remember right, chickens can take up to 24 hours to pip externally. You really shouldn't be opening the incubator any more, though. Part of "lockdown" is supposed to help get the humidity up to help keep the membranes moist to make for easier hatching. Just let them be. Sit on your hands or go shopping or something if you have to!
