I have a two week Cayuga who started showing signs of niacin deficiency yesterday. His legs are pointed inwards and he keeps rocking back and forth. Is this irreversible? I am getting niacin today and will administer it ASAP. I'll post pics in a second.

He keeps rocking back on his ankles and can walk ok but doesn’t stand well

I had a gosling with the same problem. After starting her on daily niacin, it didn't get worse, but the toes pointing inward didn't really get better until she had grown much bigger. It was a couple of weeks after starting niacin before she was able to walk a good distance without having to lie down.

Thank you. I'm hoping it'll resolve quickly.

Thank you so much! That is very helpful. I was wondering what was meant by "younger ducklings". Mine are two weeks. Does this mean they should be recover within a few days? I'll continue to give niacin, I was just hoping for a timeline.

When I say younger ducklings, I'm talking around the one week to five-week range. If yours are only two-weeks, it shouldn't be too long since their bones are still pretty "pliable".
