how long will a mama duck sit on eggs before she realizes they won’t hatch?

so..me again lol
another question. my mama duck hatched a egg a few days ago, and i keep checking on her and none of the others have hatched or moved and i think its been too long, but im not sure. is three days too long of a stretch in between? she keeps sitting on them and idk if she’ll just get off once she realizes they won’t hatch.

Give them 2 more days, or candle to see if they are alive.

no i haven’t yet, was trying to give it a couple days. she hatched one baby and i’ve been taking care of it, i bring it to her every morning but she never leaves the next to watch her. i found her alone outside two days in a row crying, so i had to bring her in
