How long will chick starter last me

You won't be switching them to layer for many, many weeks yet. You'll be buying a lot more starter/grower before you're ready for layer feed.

yeah...I meant that i would see how fast I blow through these 2 bags and determine how quickly I'll need to buy more... before the "grower" formula. sorry, I have a 2 year old hanging on my leg, can't always type what i want to with the kiddo saying daddy,daddy,daddy....i say what....he says "hi"

I feed starter crumbles for 18 weeks and then start mixing in layer pellets. Never lost one yet to a switch to pellets, because I switch gradually. You can't just change it from one day to the next. Last batch I hatched was 21 and they went through 7 - 50 lb. bags of starter.
