I know have one 9 week old chick left, she's been spending all days peeping loudly and searching for her friends. I did check her this morning and she appears to be injury free.

you can put in a stuffed animal or a feather duster and they usually cuddle up to that. or you could buy some new ones. what happened to the others????

    Out to pasture
Put a mirror in with her so she thinks there is another chick.

I love the mirror idea. I agree, a stuffed animal, or more chicks if you can [IMG]

Thanks everyone, I brought her in for the night due to another loss [IMG]

I did find the problem so I fixed it for the night. Once I turned out the lights she settled down quite nicely. I would love to get a few more chicks, but it's not in the budget. I have asked on CL if anyone had any pullets they would like to rehome for free.

I know that it is normal to lose chickens, but I can't help but to feel awful.
