How long will it take a chick to forget about its buddies?

I know have one 9 week old chick left, she's been spending all days peeping loudly and searching for her friends. I did check her this morning and she appears to be injury free.

you can put in a stuffed animal or a feather duster and they usually cuddle up to that. or you could buy some new ones. what happened to the others????

Unknown animal got them. She roosts now since she's older

Thanks everyone, I brought her in for the night due to another loss

I did find the problem so I fixed it for the night. Once I turned out the lights she settled down quite nicely. I would love to get a few more chicks, but it's not in the budget. I have asked on CL if anyone had any pullets they would like to rehome for free.

I know that it is normal to lose chickens, but I can't help but to feel awful.
