Plymouth rock is the hen, silkie is the roo
Not sure how it works when it's a mixed breed? Can't even find how long it takes for plymouth rock to hatch...

It will be approximately 21 days.. if your equipment is at an accurate temperature and eggs were stored properly before being set.

This will be sex linked cross at hatch.. IF the SIlkie rooster is NOT white.. all male offspring will have a white spot on their head at hatch and be barred at maturity.. Pullet offspring will not have the white spot at hatch and will be solid colored at maturity.

All offspring in the first generation will be hard feathered..

Pullets from there would produce Silkied offspring if bred back to the Silky sire (50% I think). or 50% Silkied offspring bred to one another.

Interestingly enough.. this cross produces skin color sex linked offspring too.. IF the Silkie sire has dark skin.. may take a few days to develop and easiest discerned under the wing pit.. but the pullet offspring would be dark skinned (grey) and the cockerel offspring will be light skinned (pink)..

If your Silkie has a walnut comb.. offspring should not be straight combed.. but I cannot currently recall what the predicted outcome would be or the details to get there. I think it *might* be a pea or a rose since walnut is one copy of each and both are dominant to straight. I'm just an enthusiast and make mistakes.. so please verify.

Technically speaking feathered legs, 5 toes, cresting, and bearding are dominant or partially dominant features.

I know most of what I stated is beyond the scope of what you asked.. but hopefully it adds to your excitement and adventure.

Happy hatching! :jumpy :jumpy

ETA: ah ehh, I just noticed barred was not stated in the Plymouth Rock description.. please note my head spot information was relevant only if the dame is barred. Most Blue Plymouth Rocks aren't rocks at all but hybrids.. The sex linked skin should still work.

Pullets from there would produce Silkied offspring if bred back to the Silky sire (75% I think). or 50% Silkied offspring bred to one another.
