Hello all,

I have an Isa Brown x and am wondering at about what age will she start to lay eggs I have heard about 20 to 24 weeks. She would be very close to 24 weeks now.

Does anyone know much about retic water for chickens, I run my retic from my bore every second night and have a hose connected to the water feeder so it flushes its self out so I dont have to keep cleaning it out.

Is retic water or bore water good for chickens?

Hi Fred

Im sure on the age of the Isa it is over 20 weeks we got her in november and she was 8 weeks then. Maybe tomorrow she will have an egg there.

Africa far from it i live in Australia i have a water system that runs my gardens at night, yes it runs off a bore would this water be any good for the chicks it would have some trace minerals but not a great deal. Does anyone know about this type of water for them

Your Isa Brown should be laying already. Bore water should be safe to drink. We have artesian wells here where I live and the water that flows from them is safe to drink for humans.
