how long will she stay broody?

Have had a broody Silkie who has been broody now for a week. I have ordered hatching eggs and they are due to arrive tomorrow or the next day. Will she still be suitably broody to hatch these eggs? I plan to move her from the coop to a seperate run with the new eggs. Will the disturbance affect her being broody. She has been sitting on two golf balls for a week.

Silkies are generally persistent setters. I think that she will probably set long enough to hatch these eggs, but there are no guarantees.

That's good to know. I also have a new addition I'm trying to integrate and a sick Silkie in isolation so it's all go here

She's been moved and taken to the new eggs already. Thank goodness.
