What is the longest eggs can sit before going into the incubator?

I just held silkie eggs for about 14 or 15 days before I put them into the bator, and I candled them today, 100% developing. I just make sure to store them at 45-50 degrees and tilt the cartons several times a day.

I heard 3-7 days. You don't wash them. You store in cools spot and put in a egg carton with pointy end down.
