Are turkey eggs like chicken eggs in that after pipping they may go 24 to 36 hours before zip????

The last turkey that I had hatch pipped sometine Thursday night and did not zip until late Friday.

Thanks . two out of 5 pipped this morning (day 28) so far no progress or pipping on the others. I sure hope this turns out well because we bought a dozen turkey eggs from a local man, and they all were infertile - NO progress at all. What a disappointment.

Just hurry up and wait! Resist and don't open the bator. It really sucks to get a batch of duds. Fertility seems a bit down in early and late season.
