I was going to build an incubator, but just spoke to a friend today, and he isn't using his this year, so he is going to let me borrow it.

My plan is this. The day I get the incubator, I plan on starting to collect the Sumatra eggs. I'm thinking for 5 to 7 days. And that same day, buy some as well thru the mail. I'm assuming it will be fine to collect Sumatra eggs, not refrigerate them, and then load the incubator on day 7? This way I will have a decent # of eggs. Thoughts? Suggestions? Words of encouragement? THANKS!

It should be okay. I forgot about some eggs that I had set aside to incubate and they were left out for about 5 days before I incubated them and I candled them Friday and everything was alright with them. It never hurts to try. Good luck. Get your incubator ready now so you can get the temp steady before you put the eggs in.
