how long should it take the chick to hatch after the first pip? i looked in the incubator today around 1 and there was a little pip, i looked again around 4 and the pip was a little bigger but not much...

As long as 24hrs...or even longer!

yeah could take up to 40 hours in some cases all depends good luck

Yep, just like the others said. It can be a very long process. Day 21 as "hatch day" is a little mis-named. It is actually hatch day x4! They rest quite a bit during the process. be patient and you will be rewarded.

I was wondering the same thing. I have 6 more pipped but not much else going on. The first three hatched very quickly.
