My son wasn't sure about them till I forced the chick to his cheek. When he realized how soft they were it was boom instant contact LOL

I am SOOO glad I didn't through these eggs away. They were a WEEK past due date, but they never smelt, just smelt like new incubator so I kept them in and OMGoodness!!! Haha. The chicks have a "rust" color at the back of their neck and wings.. Going to be pretty babies!!!

Congrats. Seems my eggs may b doing the opposite and hatching early. I had a BLRW hatch this morning and those eggs are not due til the 8th. Wondering if the thermometer is off and its too warm or somthing.

Hmm Idk and I love th Wynadote(sp?) breed. My incubator is set at 100. Congrats for your hatch

Thanks! I'm still waiting for the other 18 wich are Ameraucana (Easter Eggers I believe), Swedish Flower Hens, and Rhode Island Reds :). I'm wondering if these guys will be a week late too lol

I just woke up to an Ameraucana (Easter egger) chick in the incubator and another chick on it's way out (believe same breed)

Yes and had another ameraucana chick hatch. There is another egg with another pip in it, I think Ameraucana MIGHT be Rhode Island Red.. It's had a pip in it for a good few hours now. So should see the chick soon I hope :).. Wow 2 chicks yesterday 3 today.. I'm a happy camper!!! Still have 15 left to hatch!
