How low can I go with humidity? Help!

I just finished opening the remaining eggs. I had 5 hatch. I helped 2 of those. The others had full formed chicks that filled all of the egg. No air cells. The chicks were huge

Well, if you incubated at 40% this time, try 30% next time. There's no specific figure that's as low as you can go. You're wanting your eggs to lose 13% of their starting weight by lockdown, and if 10% humidity is what gets you there, then that's the correct humidity FOR YOU even if it wouldn't work for most other people. And please consider getting a scale and weighing them. It's simple, and like I said, foolproof...

I ordered a scale last night but its to late for the eggs I have in the incubator. I ordered the OHAUS gram balance beam.

I have dropped the humidity down to about 30% for the eggs I have in there now

ok.. since you won't have the scales in time go ahead and monitor the air cells.. if you find they are growing in size on schedule then you know your humidity will be good at 30%.. however when you check them if they are not then drop your humidity a little more.. and naturally if you see where the air cells are getting too large too fast then increase your humidity a bit
