5ac in rapidly urbanizing NW IN
When I moved here - just about 6 yrs ago - there was one flagged subdivision down the road.
There are now 4 on that road alone!
Everywhere I look, fields are being turned into houses.
Where are all the people coming from?

So far my neighbors are holding on to their small acreages, so my farmette is still pretty rural.
I have a well & septic, but use city gas to heat & cook.
Town is <5mi away and a major mall with a ton of Big Box stores is a short drive.

We have .87 that is fenced and quickly being filled up!

Neighbors all have treed lots.For some reason our lot was stripped of all trees and filled with weeds and rocky fill dirt after a septic was installed.It has has come a long way since we bought it 4 years ago.

we just moved from 4.18 (2.98 of that being protected wet lands)

we moved to 1.3 at our primary house and have 1.87 at our secondary house. All ours and all paid for woot woot

It used to be a 300 or more acre farm 150-200 years ago. They just kept downsizing, selling off land. So we have the origional farmhouse that went with the property and 2 acres. Wish it was 300 acres still today
