How many architects does it take to build a chicken coop?

Very ingenious! And great use of the two seater!!

Wow! That looks like an architectured coop! Do the upper screened vents have hinged shutters to close them off if needed? Where I live (Indiana) we can have storms where it rains sideways. I also keep the coop pretty sealed off in the upwind direction during winter storms. I can see your coop in Architectural Digest! Well Done!

This retired Engineer didn't use a tape measure for the buildout but it is holding up OK so far.

Too Funny!
Having long worked in a multi discipline engineering arena, I took great joy in reading your self depreciating monolog.
Great coop too!

Looks clean and tidy! Nice job! I thought engineers were like architects - never retired, just slowed down a bit

For this winter, we just stapled clear(ish) heavy duty plastic over the screens. As the weather warms up (no heat in the wood shop!), I'm going to build hinged glass or plexi-glass inserts for each one, so we can open and close them as needed. I really like the idea of being able to better control where and when to block the wind and weather, and leave other portions open.

Thanks for the comments, everyone!
