We use it for the chickens,dog and our swimming pool...wonder what the repercussions of that are.

IMO, minor, but who wants lead in their food and water? No amount of lead is healthy, but as they say,"it's not the poison, it's the dose". We all live with various toxic loads with no problems. Yet my philosophy is to reduce it wherever I reasonably can.
