How many birds do you have?

IMO there are really only three numbers for flock size:

few enough you instantly know how many you have and what their names are

enough that you can count them mentally but it's work and you may have to do it a coupla times to be sure

so many that you are really not honestly certain.

I am in the second category

(After a bit of ticking things off on my mental fingers, I believe the current number is 3 turkeys and 24 chickens of various ages)

I'm with you Pat, I know a few of mine by name (the ducks especially) and the chickens are all number banded with a legend (LOL) of whose name goes with what number in the coop. I know Liberty by heart because she's the one with half an earlobe missing.

I still have my 44 that I started with in May, as little peepers. And, I have added 8 Silkies, and a trio of Cuckoo Marons (1 yr olds), so I can have eggs NOW. So, let's see, that would be 55. OMG, I have 55 chickens???? YIKES...

I hatched (incubator) 27 barnyard mix, and gave them all away. Now, I have more in the bator. I THINK I will give (some of) them away too.

I have two roosters, 18 hens and 19 chicks that hatched last week. I also have two peking ducks and three pot bellied pigs that share the coop with the chickens. And Yes they all get along.
