How many birds in a 5x5 breeding pen

Hi all! Other than my bantam polish my flock is in a main large coop and run with 3 roosters and 20 hens (plus 9 pullets).
Upon hearing i was getting a new rooster the Mr put together a pen that I can seperate him and some hens but hes made it 5ft by 5ft with no attached run. How many hens could i put in with him now without a run, also how many once the run is built which will be 5' x 6'
Oh they are large fowl

Hard to say....depends on the demeanor of the cock and hens.
Is the new male for a specific breeding?
If so, how will you keep the chosen hens away from the other males to 'clear out' beforehand?

That sounds small to me. I would say no more than 2 or 3 hens with him at most and I would make sure they have places to hide or get away in case there's unwanted aggression.

Just a trio - one rooster and two hens. Any more hens would need more space.

We decided to just house the rooster in there for now, will build a larger pen and then use the smaller one for future chicks
