How many chickens can I keep in my coop?

None of the options sit well with me. "I" would be more comfortable with the auto door, despite previous losses.

I understand but I don't really trust the doors, I've had hens get crushed under them..

Hmm, my boys have been separated before and been put back together with no issues

They're both non aggressive breeds, one is a bantam cochin and the other is an ideal 236

I get it. The horror stories are one reason I've not bought one. Failure to open/close being the other. That said, on vacation.. I'd feel better with an automatic door.

sorry to bring up more doors, but have you looked into a horizontally closing door like the egglu? it doesn't guillotine down, it's a slow closure and it has a sensor that stops the door for a few minutes if it feels any resistance. i've been using one for a few months and i haven't had any issues with it.

Does anyone know of any kind of doors that could be closed through an app or something?
