It's always hard to pinpoint an exact number on chickens, once you get to a certain point. Today I think I have 8 laying hens and 64 5-wk old chicks! Most are blkstar, but there are also cochin bantams, rhode island reds and some miscellanous bantams.

3 hens and 24 5-week olds = 27

but...

On Saturday it will be 3 hens and 8 5-week olds = 11
(the boys and some extra girls are going to their new homes!)

19 chicks ( 14 of which are meat birds )
6 one month olds ( 5 of which are roosters and off to the swap meet next weekend )

17 eggs in the bator and about another 3 dozen coming next week, and a dozen duck eggs.

Every time I go to count them the move and I might be recounting the same one 3 or 4 times...

No actually I believe I have....
32 chickens
3 roosters
3 geese (1 sitting on about 14 eggs)
3 ducks
1 guinnea fowl (not sure on sex)
4 peacocks

Everytime I count my sheep I start to fall asleep

Right now I have 6 hens - one is broody and sitting on 12 adopted eggs.
I am hoping to add a rooster this spring/summer either from the above hatch or a good freebie.
