How many chickens (not chicks) IN your house?

3... One White Silkie, One Modern Game pullet, and One Bantam Dominque Roo... Who I am really tired of listening to!

Someone's going outside probably today!

OMG, I am so ashamed to admit it but I have toooo many!

I have 12 araucana, 4 silkies, 3 showgirls, 6 cuckoo marans, 5 lav project ee's, 2 lav ameraucana, 13 bc marans. ALL about 3-4 months old because poor dh works 2 full time jobs and didn't finish my last coop! I told him I am going to finish it just because I can't handle it anymore! Me with powertools scares him so they are going out this weekend

. I have had to totally isolate that room so the rest of the house isn't affected.

Oh, and I have 1 silver ameraucana girl in my bathroom. She was lost for a week in the freezing cold and is getting better

Actually I never said anything about live in chickens only chickens currently in ones home. This post is for fun not a should I keep chickens in my house post. I wish I was a Clampett..... swimming pools, movie stars and chickens!!! But alas I am a trucker living in a double wide with my wife and kids and cats and dogs and sometimes chickens. To each his own. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-angry037.gif
I guess I am sort of a pre-oil Clampett?

By the way two of the Delawares had mites(and no the rest of the flock did not). The other Delaware was new and under quarenteen as were two bantams. The four bantams that were in the house last night were the two that were under lock- down one that was trying to be broody, and one we didn't want to be lonely

We don't have a farm or a barn and would probably have chickens in the house at some point if I did. (stepping off of soapbox now)
Hello to all and yes I am a little jealous that al6517 has room for such a large and diverse flock!!!

I am sorry I really didn't mean it that way, was a little grouchy that day. I have on occasion had to have a bird in the house for a period due to sickness or injury. I just thought it could get messy real quick, my DW is a neat freak and would freak out if I even made the suggestion of a live in chicken.

We all have those days, no big deal. Luckily all of our chickens are integrated now, chickens in the house 24/7 was a mess even in cages, now the insiders are only inside at night.

They will all be outside as soon as it warms up a bit.

I have 16 in my house but they're 7 weeks which I guess makes them chicks and one hen that I think has pneumonia

Not right now but when it got -26 here we pulled my rooster and 2 hen silkies in as well as the east indie duck into the garage. They had there own personal space heater and carpet to lay on, they were in heaven surley. They stayed in there for almost a week.

Right now I feel bad for the duck so he is still in the garage. He looks the most misserable of them all.
