The coop can hold 2 and the run can hold 4, so you got some thinking to do. You could sell the extra, or better yet you could add on some!

I wouldn't over estimate a racoon and how much he wants to get at your birds. They are vicious creatures and will most likely rip right through that fencing. I have fencing like that for my goats, and yes it is strong, but only to a point. Bend it back and forth a bit and you will see how easily it comes apart. Lining the underside will help, but only if your do it with hardware cloth and not the fencing you used for the run.

They for sure can fit through when they are ripped through by a racoon for sure! I think what they said about craigslist is a great idea or add to it. why did you order so many chicks? Does the coop move around?

You could take that wire off the bottom and put on hardware cloth, then keep that for a broody or chick area and build yourself a larger coop and run.

You can list your chicks on CL. Sometimes people don't want do to the chicky-stage, and just want chickens that are coop ready. That is what we did. The lady sold them to us for $10 a chicken.
