How many chickens...

can comfortably fit into a 12X24ft run??? someone please talk me out of picking up some more silkie chick tomorrow, ive already got 9 chickens!!!

they have a 12x24 ft run, half is covered from the weather, and have several big houses (maybe 3ft x 4ft each or so) that they sleep in/on top of at night but they are in it 24/7 unless i'm out and letting them run around.

Personally, I'd stick to the nine you have- unless you are planning on expanding. Crowded chickens are a recipe for disaster...

You could fit 27 birds in the run without the houses in it but with the houses in it and the small size of the houses I would say at tops you can have 15 birds.
