How many chicks will you hatch in 2026?

The PLAN: I just got 10 s.run Buckeyes and 6 s.run Brahmas. I have 5 pullets, 10 roos, and 1 tbd. I'll keep all pullets and 1 Buckeye roo. Sale or freezer camp for the rest in the fall. I plan to hatch one clutch this late summer/early fall as long as one of my broody senior hens cooperates. I'll keep those pullets and harvest the roos in the spring of 27. From then on, I plan to hatch 26 chicks and harvest 26 chickens each spring and each fall.

I ended up with 53 out of 56 viable eggs, the last 3 were fully developed but died in the shell, I think they drowned, they were awful wet when I took them out, even though I did a 100% dry hatch, the humidity was getting up in the 50’s out in the garage?
My humidity usually stays from 30-40%.
But a 94.6% hatch rate isn’t bad, I have had 100% a few times and was shooting for it this time.
The chicks are very healthy and beautiful and I haven’t lost any yet.
My cousin will be picking them up tomorrow, I’m giving all of them to him, his hens are getting old and he needs a new batch, he will butcher the excess cockerels.
