How big is your coop and run?
You need 4 Square feet per bird... so with what you've got right now, you need at least a 4 by 5 foot coop.
Barred Rocks, Buff Orps and Cinnamon Queens are good layers.

According to the minimums usually used here, that would be a maximum of 11 chickens.
But more space is always better.
4 sq ft in coop, 10 sq ft in run is the minimum.
