I green early this morning + I heard the song of Betty bantam a few mins ago. She is being kept confined to prevent wilderness laying - it's driving me nuts foraging for eggs.

Edit. Betty bantam tricked me and now she's out free-ranging! The egg I found in the nest was cold lol

We just got our very first blue egg this week from our cream legbar! All of our other girls are brown eggers so, needless to say, I was very excited

Our first blue egg from a CCL or Araucana (both in the same coop) was layed today. Very exciting. We are also getting first time cream color eggs this week. They are not using the nesting boxes but they will get there.
