We currently have one, but with my chicken obsession, I'd love to add an additional coop underneath our deck once is built on the north side of the house where it would be the coolest spot. We own 4 acres of land which is wooded. The chickens love the wooded areas as protection. Our neighbors are not close by either as we all own decent acreage. It's my dream to move to a farm someday. I'd have a bigger coop with a rooster and easier free ranging.

Sheeesh, what I could do with 4 acres! LOL
I have 1 large coop and 2 smaller ones on 3/4 acre. Plenty of room for more coops.

I am on an acre, but my chickens are on 1/2 acre to free range.
I have the Main Coop that houses 15 (right now only 13, 2 are broody.
Then there is the Silkie Coop/ Grow Out Pen, that houses 1 silkie & 7 pullets.
I expanded the silkie coop & put in a divider, there are 4 pullets on the other side of the divider.
Two weeks ago I built a Broody House for my Broody Mama, that now houses 1 Mama & 4 chicks
Finished the 2nd Broody House 3 days ago, and that is housing 1 Broody Mama & 19 eggs.

As long as I have wooden pallets & scrap lumber, I have an endless supply of coop building material.

Oh gosh no!!! I am trying to convince my DH that another coop is not to much for our 1 acre property..... I have one and built it big. Chickens multiply!! But now my 15 girls would like some more sisters!! LOL!! Please dont tell me its possible. We have lots of scrap lumber layin around too!!!!

We have 2 coops on half an acre. One for our laying hens that are 2 year olds, and one that will house our new flock of 12 babies. I want to move to a farm too and be able to have a rooster or two plus a lot more hens!
