How many days is too many days?

I just finished my first ever hatch. Ran two 41 egg incubaters 5 days apart. My first batch finished on day 23 and I had 5 unhatched eggs left. I candled and saw zero movement and hardly any veining. I decided to toss them but I put a big X on one white one and decided to throw It into the second incubator as it was in lockdown. Lo and behold day 27 for the X'd egg and I get a yellow chick who is now running around and looking good

Thanks for that information!! Any particular reason why you kept the white one? Did you see something going on or were you just experimenting?

I saw a dark shape but no movement and the veining was so faint. I gave it a sniff check and smelled no stinky smell so decided to experiment.
