How Many Different Breeds Of Chicken Do You Have?

Some people have all one breed, and some don't have two chickens that are the same breed. How many different breeds do you have?

I think I have six. Welsummers, WL, GLWs, BR, RSLs, and EEs/OEs, if they count. And lots of barnyard mixes.

So 8 breeds and some mixes -- not counting the ones where all the members of a particular breed are up for sale.

I have 4 chickens, and 3 breeds: Orpington, Sussex, and EE.

If I could have more chickens, I'd have way more breeds!!

Three breeds, all bantams:
3 cochins (2 white, 1 partridge);
2 Sebrights;
1 buff brahma

If I'd had known what I was doing, I would have gotten two brahmas, so she would have had a buddy of her own breed. She's sort of the odd one out sometimes.

I counted that as 8 “breeds”. Next year I’ll be adding 2 Orpingtons of different colors, Ameraucauna, Welsummer, and possibly Sussex, Golden Cuckoo Marans, Blue or Splash Australorp, Bielefelder, Brown Leghorn, and Splash Laced Red Wyandotte!

Of course that’s my current list, but it will prob change 5 more times before we order! I wish I could have 100 chickens…

Really want a cream legbar but I’ve heard they have health problems when they come from hatcheries…
