How Many Eggs Before a Hen Goes Broody?

Hi everybody! I was just wondering on average how many eggs a hen would have before she went broody??!! Any advice or feedback is appreciated!

I've had them go broody on 1 but they prefer more, some are happy with 4 others like BIG clutches so just depends on the duck.. I am the one in control of how many my ducks sit so once they commit I take out some and leave her with the amount I am happy with.
