How many eggs can a hen lay on

As you have probably figured it will depend upon the size of the hen and the size of the eggs. Whereas a bantam might readily cover a dozen bantam eggs, six or seven large fowl eggs might be all that she could cover. An EE/game hen should be able to easily cover a dozen large fowl eggs. If a hen has constructed a bowl shaped nest site, she can cover more eggs than on a flat surface.

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! X2 what sourland said, it depends on the size of the hen and eggs, and the nest set up. Good luck with your hen.
