How many eggs can I put under a barred rock hen?

First time Momma Hens I give no more than 6 eggs.

They were paid today I've got a dozen I could put under her

When mine goes broody again, I'll have to try her on more, this is the first broody I've had, not sure if she's going to stay or not, and I have large chickens who feel the need to lay in the same box..lol. I had her and two of the sexlinks stuffed in the same box on Saturday.

Also, they don't have to have been laid today. A nesting hen lays an egg every day until she's ready to set. Since a hen usually collects about twelve eggs, the oldest has been sitting in that nest for eleven days before she starts to set. I'll set eggs up to three weeks old with good hatch rates.
