How Many Eggs could a Broody Hen fit if a Broody Hen could count eggs?! Lol

Getting some hatching eggs, I have a cuckoo maran, so about the size of a barred rock whos broody.

How many eggs can your bigger birds sit on at once?? 14.....16.....18???

I wanna give them all the best chance so I dont wanna risk giving her too many

If you set too many a hen can't properly turn them and you risk losing most of the clutch. 8-10 is maximum for a good hatch rate, with 4-8 being the best. More isn't always better.
